** The Road to Slim City **

One girl's journey to finding herself, losing weight, getting healthy, and living life... one shenanigan at a time.
100+ lbs lost ..... 30 more to go. Welcome to my world.

One is the loneliest number….. or not?

Week 3:

Ok so, I weighed in this morning and only lost 1 more pound.

Start Weight: 180

Current Weight: 178 Started to feel really upset…. I mean, WTF?, Im working my ass off here!  Soooo, in what I thought was a feable attempt to save my self-esteem, I took my measurements.  Here are my old and new measurements.  HOLY EFFIN CRAP!

                       Beginning          Now

Chest:               38in                 37in

Waist                34.5in               32.5in     2 INCHES!!!!

Hip                    44in                 43.25in

R. Thigh             24.75in             24.5in

L. Thigh             24.4in               24in

R. Arm               13.25in             12.75in

L. Arm               13.25in              13in

Total                192.15in             187in

THAT’S 5.15 INCHES GONE!!!!     5.15!!!!!  5.15!!!!!!!!!!!  OMG!!!

I felt smaller and I knew my clothes were looser and I definitely noticed the extra space in the ‘ole boulder holder?… but wow…. HELLS YEAH!

New Kicks….

I am in DIRE need of some new running shoes but find myself in the land of Commitment Phobia every time I try to pick a pair.  Nike? Adidas? Brooks? New Balance?  Holy Hell.. the choices are endless and trying them on at the store has taken me for a fool before.  I have to ask…. What are you all wearing?

WIW!!! ITS ABOUT TIME!!

Not this morning my friends!!!!!  Even with the cheating of the past weekend my scale was still good to me!  Finally!

Last week: 178

THIS WEEK: 175.4!!!!

That is 2.6 pounds since last Wed.!  Its super nice to finally see some multi-lb results.  Hoooray.

RAW ACV… Worth Sharing.

Ive been intrigued reading about all the health benefits of Raw, unfiltered, organic apple cider vinegar in the last week so I decided to buy some the other day.

This is what I bought.

Its supposed to help with vitamin absorption, digestion, constipation (eek!), it acts as a natural antiseptic and antibiotic in you body and is also super healthy for your skin, nails, and hair.  It naturally lowers cholesterol, helps flush toxins out of the body and has been proven to reduce joint and muscle pain.  All sounded pretty freakin amazing to me?  Why not?  Where do I sign?  Surprisingly, there was another more immediate effect that I noticed right off the bat?  Wanna know the bonus I discovered?… it seriously makes me not hungry?  Like not an unhealthy.. ”i never want to eat” not hungry.. but a “I just ate a normal portion of healthy food and I dont want anything else” not hungry.   This is an AWESOME tool for my tendency to do the snacky munchy no no time when I get home from work.  Any willpower booster with THOSE kinda of ridiculous benefits is an a-ok in my book fo sho.

Just an FYI… I take a shot of it (1 oz) when I get home each night (recommended.)  Not exactly the tastiest thing Ive ever experienced but come on, Ive drank Jagermeister for a lesser cause?.. i can do this.

it’s WIW!

Being sick pretty much blows. And being sick whilst trying to consistently diet, exercise, and lose weight, blows even harder. I guess considering I havent worked out once since last Friday AND have been in bed sick since Saturday, Im not too upset about the results.

last week 175.4

this week 174.8

.6 of a pound.

Taking into account that right now I have a rip roaring headache, fever, and back pain, Im sure as hell not gonna beat myself up about it.  Hey, sometimes youre sick, right?

Next week my friends, next week.

toooday’s grubbage.

Breakfast:  Organic Plain Greek Yogurt.  Added Blackberries and 1 packet of Splenda.

snack:  1/2 cup of more blackberries and 2 oz of leftover lime cilantro Salmon.  pretty good reheated.

Lunch:  steam pack veggies (yellow and orange carrots, zucchini, green beans) and 1/2 avocado.

snack planning on the other half of the avocado.

770 cals for the day…

leaves me 430 for dinner.  SCORE!  Have been SCARILY craving seafood.  Oh MY gosh!  any good recipe ideas for me?

So the rest of yesterday the eating was on point.  Treated myself to my favorite sushi summer wraps (lettuce, avocado, cucumber, carrot, shrimp, and crab wrapped in a thin translucent rice wrapper.)  For dinner, had a healthy turkey wheat tortilla dinner with a small dollop of cream cheese.
Yesterday’s exercise looked like this pic (sans the super hot army guys..lol.)  Torrential rains across the state got dangerously close to a friend’s house…. soooo still not feeling so hot, I got out in the rain and sandbagged the hell outta that mutha.  My arms hurt like hell today.
