What. A. Morning. 

Surprisingly, I’m doing a pretty decent job at maintaining a positive attitude this morning, but good grief and holy balls it’s been hard. 

The lovely Friday morning issues: 

#1:  My 82 year old grandmother snuck out of my aunt’s house yesterday, drove to Columbus (4 hours) by herself to go to their “for sale” empty house and is now refusing to leave. I have spent the morning on the phone with independent senior living communities in my area, gathering applications, and getting information, just to be told by my grandmother 5 minutes ago to take a flying leap. 

Super Fun. 

#2:  Chris just informed me he has to work late so he won’t be at my best friend’s birthday dinner tonight.  Now she’s upset at what seems to be…. me.

Great. 

#3:  My 8 year old informed me this morning that she can’t wait for her new Christmas eve pajamas this year….. THEN, my 10 year old daughter informed me that Em has renounced the color pink and button-up pajamas.  Can anyone guess what I bought? 

Fail. 

As a bonus craptastic addition… I cannot find any non-pink, cool, non girly, tshirt/jammie pants pajamas ANYWHERE.  Target - nope, Gap - nope, Old Navy - nope, Walmart - nope.  Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

But… all this will not defeat me. 

I WILL get my grandmother down here safe and sound come HELL OR HIGH WATER. 

I WILL have a good time at the dinner tonight and smooth things over with the bestie on Chris’ behalf. 

and I WILL somehow? find the impossible pajamas for my CLEARLY high maintenence 8 year old Diva. 

So there Friday… TAKE THAT!
